Hidden talents for Hidden Treasures: Adrian discovers his sales superpower.
"I first started at Burwell Print in 2015. I like the work we do; I like the booklet maker and serving customers when I work in the reception. I like meeting friends … I like to work in the Hidden Treasures shop, and I am very good at selling things! I like making things for the shop; we sometimes go to care homes and have a stall there. I enjoy the out-of-print centre activities like the Carnival, BBQs and day trips.
Burwell Print has helped me to make friends, it gives me an activity away from my usual support staff and people I live with. It has helped to build my confidence.
When I am having a tough time at home, it helps to go to the print centre. They will talk to me and help. Also, it helps that I am busy and not thinking about what might be wrong. The staff are always happy and positive, and I always feel better after I have been there.
If the print centre was to stop, I would be upset because I wouldn’t be able to do the things I enjoy with my friends. I don’t know how I would fill the time; I might get bored."
